After signing up for my first ever marathon, I knew that I needed help to get me there — which is why when I found Eat 2 Run, it felt like a great fit. I had never before trained for a marathon, and I had never focused on nutrition to support my running before so I didn’t know what to expect. So I just put all my faith in Sarah and her work, and I’m so glad that I did!
Very quickly my energy went up, I was sleeping better, and the runs themselves became much easier. In following Sarah’s guidance, I found that my post-run recovery was 150 times easier, and I had very little soreness or pain. For the first time in my life I felt like I was living a consistently healthy lifestyle, and my body/metabolism were efficient and strong! I even found myself feeling lighter without really thinking about it or paying attention, which is also a first for me.
The best part of the plan was having a very structured meal schedule every day, while also being able to choose what each of those meals was from a wide variety of options. All of the recipes in her book were great, which meant I was able to keep changing it up and never got bored of what I was eating.
In the end, I was able to achieve my goals of:
- Completing the Boston Marathon; and
- Never having to stop during it!
I know there is no way I could have done that without Sarah’s help. My body feels stronger than ever, and I’m excited to incorporate a lot of the things that Sarah taught me into my daily life to continue being healthy and strong. Sarah was the most supportive and motivational coach, and I am so incredibly grateful that I was able to work with her!
