eastside-10kI thought I ate healthily before I started working with Sarah, and boy did I get a shock – I had a lot to learn! Working with Sarah is brilliant – her nutrition plan is practical and delicious and her recipes are still my go-to place for healthy cooking inspiration. Her training plan for me significantly reduced my recovery time from long runs and allowed me to have consistency in my training.

Last year I attempted to train for the half-marathon and succumbed to injury. This year, I am injury-free, healthy and feel fitter than I ever have before! Finishing my first ever half marathon in 2:12 was a huge achievement, but it never felt insurmountable because I knew my training with Sarah would get me there. I knew I was ready.

I would recommend Sarah to everyone who wants to eat well and run well.”

UPDATE

October 2016 – Brought home a PB (by over a minute) in the Rock n Roll Vancouver half marathon (2:01:32)! This race was awesome – I went out like you instructed and ended up passing people pretty consistently. I was really in a groove and the kilometres just flew by – I even missed the halfway mark! Quads felt strong, nothing hurt – I rocking it and feeling great. Just before pipeline road, I checked my tracker as I was still feeling strong and still consistently passing people and it said 1:33!!!! I honestly though it must be wrong. So I thought I’m just going to go for it cause my legs were still feeling strong. I pushed consistently through and hammered it home for the final km and did it – I got a brand new PB! So pleased with how I raced, so pleased with how I was able to run – so basically today was totally awesome!!!

October 2014 – Brought home a PB in the Rock n Roll Vancouver half marathon (2:02:32)! I felt like I was fit enough and strong enough to actually enjoy most of the race! It wasn’t until the last 5km where I was wanting to stop and having to push through, the first 15km or so went pretty quickly. Happy with how things played out!
