After coming off 6 months of Ironman training and dealing with recent Adrenal Fatigue and Celiac diagnosis, the feelings sluggishness, fatigue and wanting to lie down and take a giant nap were all to common for me. It took a few days, but on days 4 and 5 of the cleanse I was waking up a bit easier and had a bit more energy throughout the day. I no longer have that crazy desire to go right back to sleep. “I was honestly shocked with how the KickStart Cleanse stabilized my energy levels! As a shift worker, I was previously fully dependent on caffeine (2-3 strong cups a day) – but now I am energized and alert without it, and am waking more naturally from sleep (despite the chaotic hours). One of the reasons I wanted to do the cleanse was because I’d let a lot of food that don’t agree with me creep back into my diet and was 10lbs over my target weight. Before starting I made a lot of changes such as cutting out refined sugar, dairy, and alcohol. Over 2½ weeks, including 5 days of pre-cleanse and 5 days of cleanse, I lost 8lbs. On top of that I had a few friends comment that they felt I looked great and wondered what had changed. Another commented that she felt my skin looked “amazing and radiant!” I also feel like I recovered faster from my long run. Usually my legs ache for a few days after a hard trail run and this week they didn’t! I’m still working on training my gut to have food in it when I run long and had major GI issues on my last marathon so I was curious how this would go. My gut was fine with all of it. I also used the pre-run energy bars during my long run and found I did just fine with it and it was easy to digest. And I must say, the green smoothies that I can freeze and consume later are here to stay! Loved those! I enjoyed many of the recipes and they will become regulars in the rotation and especially loved that the salads felt really filling. More than anything I was just happy to be eating so many greens! The cleanse is incredibly well laid out in terms of grocery lists and meal prep. I found it fun to step out of my comfort zone with food and snack options! I must say though, without my husbands help though I wouldn’t have been able to do it. He made all the ‘dinners’ as I was either sleeping, running or rushing around getting ready for work. With my schedule, I would have likely had to pick a time when I didn’t have ER shifts to do this if I didn’t have his help.”

“The KickStart Cleanse really did ‘kickstart’ me back into healthy habits! It’s so easy to get sidetracked in the summer with an ice cream stop with the kids in the afternoon and then a glass of wine on the patio in the evening. Doing the KSC was a reminder of how great I feel when I eat to fuel by body. I’m not a huge salad person but eating a salad every day for lunch was a great way to get some extra veggies in and set myself up for great eating for the rest of the day. “Before the KickStart Cleanse I was struggling to get through each day with little enthusiasm or motivation to do any more than I had to. I won’t lie, the first 2 days were ROUGH!
